This is a REAL shrunken human head, crafted by the Shuar peoples of Ecuador!
Traditionally this process was performed exclusively on slain warriors but, as the demand for these products grew with traders, they began to prepare them for the tourist trade.
This real shrunken head was on display at the Prehistoria Museum but has been deaccessioned to raise funds for operating costs and exhibit development.
