These stunning Desmoceras ammonite fossils date back to the Cretaceous period and were found in Madagascar! Though they are more closely related to coleoids (squid, octopus, etc), these extinct critters resemble the modern day nautilus - their shells are also filled with spiralling chambers that aided in controlling their buoyancy.
Our mini ammonite specimens are highly polished by the peoples of Madagascar and can be shipped worldwide! Price is per RANDOMLY-SELECTED specimen and every one is unique! They measure ~1" wide.
