Real fossil rhino jaw for sale! Hyracodons were pony-size prehistoric rhinos from the Oligiocene period (32-26 million years ago) of North America.
Only standing 1.5m long, the extinction of this medium-sized mammal marked the end of the world's hornless running rhinoceroses.
This particular ~7" long fossilized jaw was originally found in the Brule Formation of South Dakota.
**This specimen was once in the Hobberlin Museum, until they closed in the early 2000s. It has been on display at the Prehistoria Museum for roughly a decade, but is now being deaccessioned to raise funds for our operations.**
THIS FOSSIL CAN BE SHIPPED WORLDWIDE!
