Authentic ancient Ghaznavid mirror for sale! Dating back between 977-1186 CE, this is a real ancient bronze mirror.
In antiquity, mirrors were made by highly polishing a flattened metal surface - and sometimes even coating in silver.
The Ghaznavid dynasty, or empire, at it's peak ruled large areas of Persia, the northwest Indian subcontinent and Khorasan.
In 1040 their territory suffered significant losses to the Seljuk Empire and, despite some later military victories, never regained the former strength or scope of their territory.
This specimen measures ~6" tall including custom stand and can be shipped worldwide.
