These are real bone armor plates (scutes) from an adult spectacled caiman (Caiman crocodilus)! These plates are found within the skin of some crocodilians and providean additional layer of defense against predators.

This caiman died of natural causes in a Canadian zoo and these are available exclusively in Canada. 

Price is per specimen and each one is unique!

They come in a protective ~1.25" diameter jars. They make a great addition to any collection and could even be used in jewelry and art.
