Intermediate Roundleaf Bat Taxidermy, Hanging

These are real intermediate roundleaf bat (Hipposideros larvatus) taxidermy mounts! These bats hunt and navigate using echolocation. 

They have been mounted to allow for upside-down hanging. These are found throughout Indonesia.

These specimens measure ~4" long and are available worldwide!

They are sustainably hunted by the local peoples as a source of food and income. These bats have been studied and rated a level of "Least Concern" on the IUCN index of endangered/at-risk species due to their reproductive rate and widespread distribution.

They were exported, with permits, from Indonesia.
