These are real Greek bronze coins, featuring King Antiochus VI Dionysus and an elephant on the reverse! Dating back between 144-142 BCE, these specimens would make a great start, or addition, to any collection.
Antiochus VI was a Greek Hellenistic king but never had the opportunity to rule over his Seleucid Empire. He lived from 148-141/2 BCE, dieing between 7-9 years old.
It is debated whether he died in surgery or was assassinated at the behest of Diodotus Tryphon.
