Blyth's Horseshoe Bat Taxidermy, Hanging
These are real Blyth's Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus lepidus) taxidermy mounts! These bats are known for the unique horseshoe-shaped protuberances that grow from their noses, known as noseleafs.
They have been mounted to allow for upside-down hanging. These are found across southern Asia, from Afghanistan to Vietnam.
These specimens measure ~3" long and can be shipped worldwide!
They are sustainably hunted by the local peoples as a source of food and income. These bats have been studied and rated a level of "Least Concern" on the IUCN index of endangered/at-risk species due to their high reproductive rate and widespread distribution.
