This stunning cluster of Desmoceras and other ammonite fossils dates back to the Cretaceous period and was found in Madagascar! Though they are more closely related to coleoids (squid, octopus, etc), these extinct critters resemble the modern day nautilus - their shells are also filled with spiralling chambers that aided in controlling their buoyancy.
This large (~14.5" tall x 11" wide) ammonite cluster is prepared and polished by the peoples of Madagascar and can be shipped worldwide!
