This is one of the most amazing anatomical reference specimens we have ever prepared - an "exploded" red eared slider shell!
Our articulator, Tobias Boch, has expertly separated and wired every bone that composes the shell of a turtle. This gives the owner, and fellow observers, the ability to truly understand the complexity of this amazing reptilian adaptation.
The layers can also be raised or lowered with an enclosed key, to allow the layers to be studied from additional angles.
This would be a truly unique display or educational reference piece and would make a dramatic addition to any collection.
