Dating back to the 3rd century CE, these are believed to be Celtic "proto-money" bronze rings.
With large quantities having been found in hoards containing gold and silver ingots, it has been theorized that these rings could have been an early form of currency.
Not having been part of a cache, these bronze rings could also have once been a part of ancient strap fittings - another common use for bronze rings in this time and region.
They measure ~1" diameter and price is per specimen. We can ship these worldwide!
